ANTIQUE Asian Large Blue & White TEAPOT

Description

I bought this from the estate of a 93 year old woman who had an extensive collection of antique Chinese and Japanese artifacts including pottery, tansu, and carved stone, furniture.
This very large teapot, 16 plus cup, dates to late 1700's to early
1800's.
Blue and white hand painted, hand thrown, with serpent top on lid.
Round globular form with unglazed
bottom that forms a large concave with a 1"inch depth.
The pot is porcelain with a clay component on the bottom.
It is in excellent condition with only one small chip off the spout. (see picture).  No cracks
or fissures or grazing.  You are welcome to the stand it was sold with.
Lovely large teapot with grace and elegance.
Bamboo handle (most likely replaced).
