HANDCARVED STONE HIPPOPATUMUS *RARE ARTIST SIGNED+NUMBERED*DARK BROWN+POLISHED

This is absolutely the finest HIPPOPOTAMUS I have ever seen! It is some type of beautiful carved brown stone. It has signed markings on the bottom, but they are worn and I cannot read them. There is a 35 etched into it. Weighs over 2 pounds. Size is 7" long x 4" hi x 3" deep.. A few very minor scuffs but overall very fine! It is STUNNING! VERY FINE CONDITION and a true work of ornate art! Great for display! REASONABLE offers will be considered.
GREAT FIND OF THE YEAR! I purchased a collection of beautiful INUIT and other types of carved sculptures and unusual items from a very wealthy collectors estate! They are all different, and many are signed by the artisan. I am trying to do research on these, and finding there are many different tribes, and areas that produce these very fine works of art. Several different types of stone are used, depending on the area of Canada. Most are Basalt, Serpentine, Soapstones, Granite.
Some of my listings are PRIVATE at the request of my customers. It allows buyers and bidders to make purchases as gifts or to resell without other people seeing their identity.
IShipping will normally be by U.S. Priority Mail with delivery confirmation unless the item is too big. I also use UPS for larger items, and can sometimes arrange for local pick up here in northeast Indianapolis upon request. You can simply send me a request for a combined invoice. SORRY but I am NOT able to take returns due to our current volatile economy, and almost daily changes in values of many items.
