Unique Hand carved miniature chubby stone Hippopotamus from the Andes. Stone is mined in the Andes and brought down to the village by our craftsmen who have carved animals and such for generations. Peruvian Arts LLC is a business on the Oregon Coast specializing in carved stone animals. We work directly with the artisans and they have made this superb Hippo for us. She weighs in at just about 1 ounce, stands about 1 inch tall and is about 1.5 inches nose to tail. Considered a "Miniature". Please see the detail in the photos. Superb workmanship.
