Vintage Airguide Compensated Barometer, Silver Toned. The face covering is in tact. The barometer appears to be in working condition. This item is in used condition. There is a light dust covering near the center of the dial on the face covering that was not easily removed (I didn't scrub it for fear of scratching the item). Also, there is no back plate covering, and the metal is tarnished. I tried to photograph this item at different angles in light to show the wear that I described above. My husband is a casual barometer and clock collector, and we are thinning his collection. This item was purchased at a local market. Item is sold as is, no returns. This vintage Compensated Airguide barometer is a mid-century piece of marine nautical decor. Designed as a ship’s steering wheel and mounted on a wooden base for hanging on a wall. Overall condition of the barometer is good with some normal wear from age and years of display, the metal on it has a light patina that should polish up. Base measures approximately 8.75" x 8.75" .and has a 3.5" diameter glass dial.
We are selling this as a home decor piece as we do not know the accuracy and working of this vintage piece as a weather guide.
