AN ORIGINAL SET OF SIX LITHOGRAPH COSTUME DESIGNS BY WALTER PLUNKETT FROM THE CLASSIC MOTION PICTURE "GONE WITH THE WIND".  HAND SIGNED AND NUMBERED BY WALTER PLUNKETT.
    1975 (1939)
THIS IS A SPECTACULAR PORTFOLIO OF SIX LITHOGRAPH COSTUME RENDERINGS FROM  "GONE WITH THE WIND" DESIGNED BY PREEMINENT HOLLYWOOD COSTUME DESIGNER WALTER PLUNKETT.  THEY ARE NUMBERED (831/1000) AND PERSONALLY HAND SIGNED IN PENCIL IN THE LOWER LEFT BY WALTER PLUNKETT.  THERE ARE 5 COSTUME DESIGNS FOR VIVIEN LEIGH'S SCARLETT O'HARA (INCLUDING THAT BRILLIANT GREEN VELVET DRESS FASHIONED FROM MISS ELLEN'S PORTIERE'S, WHICH IS CONSIDERED TO BE FILMDOM'S GREATEST COSTUME), AND 1 FOR CLARK GABLE'S RHETT BUTLER.  IN 1975 RETIRED COSTUME DESIGNER WALTER PLUNKETT WAS INVOLVED WITH THE SIGNING AND SELLING OF THIS LIMITED EDITION PORTFOLIO FEATURING LITHOGRAPH COPIES OF HIS "GONE WITH THE WIND" COSTUME RENDERINGS.  THEY ARE HOUSED IN A WHITE FOLDER AND SEPARATED BY SHEETS OF TISSUE. ALSO INCLUDED IS A FULL LIST OF PLUNKETT'S FILMOGRAPHY, (150 PROJECTS AND ONE ACADEMY AWARD WIN FOR "SINGING IN THE RAIN".  IN 1939 THERE WAS NO ACADEMY AWARD GIVEN FOR COSTUMES.  IF THERE WERE, HE WOULD HAVE UNDOUBTEDLY WON FOR "GONE WITH THE WIND"),  INCLUDED IN THE PORTFOLIO A COPY OF A SKETCH OF THE ARTIST HIMSELF.
THIS SET OF "GWTW" COSTUME DESIGNS IS MAGNIFICENT!  THE PHOTOS DO NOT BEGIN TO DO THEM JUSTICE.  EACH ONE IS A VERY  LARGE 16" X 20"! THEY ARE IN MINT CONDITION.  ANOTHER RARE OPPORTUNITY FROM TMQPOSTERS TO OWN A PIECE OF HOLLYWOOD MEMORABILIA HISTORY!
"INDIA WILKES.  WHAT A LOVELY DRESS.  I JUST CANT TAKE MY EYES OFF IT..."
    "never live with regret"...
Hello.  By way of introduction and for your information, I am TMQPOSTERS.
Everything that you will see on my EBay Selling List
Retired costume designer Walter Plunkett was involved with the signing and selling of this limited edition portfolio in the mid-1970s, featuring lithograph copies of his
    Gone With the Wind
costume sketches. There was a limited run of only 1000 sets, each with five gorgeous sketches of costumes for Vivien Leigh's Scarlett, and one of Clark Gable's Rhett. All sketches in this set are personally signed and numbered in pencil by Plunkett in the lower left just below the image and this one is numbered 831/1000. They are housed in a white folder, and separated by sheets of tissue. Also included is a full sheet with Plunkett's filmography, and a copy of a sketch of the artist himself
is from my personal private collection.  I started collecting NEW and VINTAGE ORIGINAL MOVIE POSTERS (especially GONE WITH THE WIND,  STAR WARS,
all SPIELBERG, DISNEY, ACADEMY AWARD WINNERS, BATMAN, LORD OF THE RINGS, HARRY POTTER,
CULT, CAMP, TRASH, ETC!!!) since I was a 27 year old in 1976 when I moved and lived in NYC.
All the posters (even the originally folded ones) have been rolled in tubes and stored in a temperature controlled environment from the time I purchased each one.
Needless to say, it is a diverse and eclectic collection of over 650 POSTERS.   I also collected ANIMATION ART, specifically ORIGINAL DISNEY HAND PAINTED PRODUCTION BACKGROUND PAINTINGS that went under camera in the filming of Disney movies.  I will not knowingly misrepresent the pieces I put on EBay.
All the photographs you see of my posters and art are ones that I have taken, not downloaded from other online sites. I will gladly answer all questions, discuss shipping, etc.
Whether you're a fan, collector, dealer, and/or looking for an investment piece this is a great opportunity.
The Movie and Theatre Poster and Animation Art I offer will be interesting, diverse, original and in many cases a rare opportunity for any collector.  Yes, some are Museum quality pieces, or obviously will be.
I am now 71 years young, downsizing, and divesting myself of this collection just as enthusiastically as when I started accumulating this wonderful brilliant trash. Thanks for your interest.
And wait till you see what will be "COMING SOON TO A THEATRE NEAR YOU!!!"
Too often in life we regret not doing things that we are able to do, for whatever reason, when we are presented with the opportunity to do so.  I say “Never live with regret”.
